1 Thing After Another Thing

Hi Blog & all,

Lately I have noticed how working freelance can be sorta be fun again.  I went through a period where I was missing get a check every other week, and working overtime so that I can buy something sweet. In the IT field, when you are a freelancer you are sorta the one who has to balance projects. You may also have to be the persistent one that demands getting the pay. Something client’s don’t really understand that websites can sometimes be very difficult. They know when something is screwed up. That’s for sure. I like it when I have a new client that comes to be and knows it’s screwed up already. Saves me the sad state of affair converstatio. I have had a few clients run off to others, who broke the site’s I developed. Well look at that. It pisses me off, But I think it’s kinda funny.

An old client from way back asked me to fix his, after things went awry, and I guess I am back on good terms. I felt the inner happiness that yet again, I knew what I was doing. I for the most part learn more in the process, but I do know what I am fricken doing around the backend(Data.Email, System) stuff.

I also do have days where I would rather quite. Because someone else can try to go prove to them that a website can’t be built to represent the client, w/o content written by the client.

LOL

I will admit it, there are times when I wished I would have stayed working at CVS. With the monotony and the vendors. Day in Day out.

Those automatic bells going off. With maybe no sound heard at all. When doing the same things regular in our own routine . Something inside knows what it is to be doing next. How many thoughtful times do I remember while I was driving with some friends in high school.  You could drive for miles and miles, and before you knew it… You would be where you were supposed to go.

Sometimes it was those upnorth trips. It amazes how sometimes the time flys. Othertimes you could just think to yourself  ’34,45,35,..’ But the mind and body get used to it. Whether its 8-4,6-2, or 9-5. I remember how everday seemed to just go right by.

I had a meeting a hopeful new connection for business. I had them over, and the time flew as if we knew eachother. Those whole two whole hours were filled with the most enjoyable, intellectuality exciting  and enlightening chatter

Each person has something that they love so much. They can lose hours in it. Learning how to make money at it, boi is that just but skill it takes..

Like make programmer’s know there is about 9 ways on how to do something, and it’s all about how much work. I love the chase. It’s sorta like a high. When you have an application that has localhost you test it on…. And before you can see it, the db connections have to commented out… Day after day of mindless removing the // marks so that I could update my DataBaseIncludes.php file. It was like swirving to miss a pothole on the way to one of my jobs as a kid.

I just didn’t like the fact that I had some inconvenience to being able to update mysite to the HTTP Server. It’s something I new that I should provide a function to test the location, and then connect to the db or not.

And it was it own unique lil puzzle. I could be programming until I die because although it may be just 1 Thing After Another Thin, creating the final result is amazing.

Thanks,

Rob
